A couple of weeks ago, I submitted a warranty claim with InCase because my case had stretched out quite a bit.

So I got an email from them with an RMA# and was planning to send the case in and await the arrival of a refund or a new case.

A few days later a new black case arrived on my doorstep. Is it common practice for them to send out a new case without receiving the old one?

Do I need to send the old case back to them, or do I just throw it away?

I would say if they gave you a RMA number they probably want the other one back. Some companies "cross ship" meaning they send you the product first and then you return the old product once the new one is received. That way you aren't without a case.
