Rolling out with today's forum update (performance, bug fix) is a pretty cool feature that I think you are going to enjoy. Tags allow you to easily reference a member within a thread using the common @ symbol. As you type the member's name, it will start to autocomplete for you.

For example, I could say something along the lines of..

I hope psylichon drops by this thread and posts some new BBQ photos.

The user you reference will receive a notification of the tag, allowing them to jump into the thread. It's also a good way to get someone's attention. Hey, Marianne does vBulletin do this?:D

I wonder who among Bennyboy RoofMonkey or patrickj will use this feature first.

Enjoy Tags!

Does this work in the app as well?
I'm thinking it doesn't as I tried the @ tag on a name.
May have to hop in the forum and test again.

Hey, it worked.
Very cool. The only thing it doesn't appear to do in the app is add the users names as you are typing it.
So as long as I remember how to spell users names / nicks correctly, it seems like a go!
Very cool indeed!

Nevermind lol I saw Chris already did. It worked. I haven't seen this in any other forum, I think it's very useful. Awesome, thanks Chris.

IMO these tags make posts look cluttered and the forum look sloppy. No one wants to have to sort through the words user and brackets for post content.
