Here's an iOS 5 Guide to the new features you'll find and how to use them. Any questions, please feel free to use this thread or create a new thread.

If you haven't upgraded just yet, please check out how to prepare your iOS device for iOS 5.

Okay, anyone else with a 3GS missing the Reader in Safari? I have Reading List, but not the Reader...

NYTimes, Boston Herald, various blog sites. Searching Google, I'm finding that it was missing from the 3GS in early iOS5 Betas. Looks like it's missing from the GM too. Isn't there supposed to be an icon up by the URL field?

Cool little thing - when you're scrolling through your texts, if you swipe your thumb down over the keyboard, the keyboard scrolls off the screen so you can see more messages.

It's there on my phone (iPhone 4, iOS 5). It appears that there are some specifics about using it. For example, I can't get it to come up on any page that is all ready clipped (mobile site or url that starts with an m.). These are all ready formatted and truncated so there is nothing for the reader to do.

It also doesn't come up on the home page. You need to find a site that is broken in to articles or sections. Click on one of the articles and you should see the reader button appear up in the bar.

For example, go to www.roughguides.com and then click on any one of the articles on the main page. This is the site that is actually shown on the Apple page that features the reader. If you click on any of the articles, you'll get the button.

Yeah I knew about mobile sites. It appears it's just simply not available for the 3GS.

can't seem to get any notifications to work in the new notify center. Except the stock weather app. I've turned them all on in settings, did the banner option and badge option but when I swipe down all I get is the weather. Nothing from my calendar, my reminders, etc.
Suggestions?

Try sending yourself a text message and hitting the sleep button right after you send. You should see it pop up on your lock screen. Unlock then swipe down for NC and see if it's there.

It worked! I guess I have to get used to HOW it is going to work. Thanks!

All your calendar events and reminders - those should show up in the NC too (when you swipe down from the home screen). Were they there?

Hmmm..... Got too excited about texts and emails; no, nothing from calendar, etc.

Try setting a new reminder and then check NC for it. Should be there. Only new, unread emails are showing up so far for me.

Yeah I got a reminder to show. Don't know how far out they show up in the NC. Wonder if there's a way to change that? Must be the same way with the calendar events.

LED flash? The camera flash flashes when you get alerts, calls, and whatnot.
