And what an awesome joke it is. Try 14 1/2 hours! Wifi on, bluetooth off, screen at near minimum brightness (using in a brightly lit room, and minimum brightness is all I have ever had it set at and that is too bright for me at night.) Mix of about 6 hours surfing on wifi and the rest video. I was even able to watch 4 full length movies once it was down to 23%. Ran all the way down to 1% before it shut off. After charging for about 8 minutes, it turned on and showed 2% then continued charging and was usable while charging. Gonna try an all video test next.

Ditto. Very pleased with it. With on and off usage I've gone a whole weekend without needing a charge.

I use my iPad on and off all day long and rarely have I run it down below 50% in a single day. I am very happy with the battery life :)

Same here. The iPad has been out 3 weeks today had I think I have only charged it 3 times so far. I use it pretty heavy for 6-7 hours every day, so yeah 10 battery life is a joke.

7 hours - A DAY?! Don, that's insane! Plug in an 8 hour work day, that's 15 hours of awake time, 50% being on an iPad? Seems like a lot to me... :)

I use mine for maybe combined 1, 1.5 hours a day, unless I can sleep. Then I'll surf and hit up twitter. But the battery does seem pretty good on the iPad. I wish they had usage stats like the iPhone though.

well it's rated at an hour less but I'm pretty sure 3G is quite a bit more power hungry than wifi...
That's correct but my plan is to have 3G disabled the majority of the time. I'll turn it on once or twice a month as needed. But even if it lasts 9 hours that'll be fantastic!
