Hey, I have an iPad 2 running 4.3.3. Safari crashes all the time! Does it happen to anyone else? Ive tried a hard reset, really don't want to restore because I'll lose my city story. Any ideas? It's stock, too. Thanks.

I don't know, I got 77 apps running in the backround, it crashs on any site, here and other places.
Good lord... The memory on the thing isn't infinite! C'mon buddy, your smarter than this... Tsk tsk tsk

If it's jailbroken, get sbsettings and get the RemoveBG toggle. A swipe and 1 press: poof all background apps closed.

Try running just one or two Safari tabs at a time. I've had various Safari problems that resolved when I closed 6 or 7 of the open tabs.

Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies/History/Cache.

If that doesn't help, try resetting all settings.

In setting-safari

You can clear the history, cookies, and cache. Clearing the cache, in particular, can help solve issues, like constant crashing, that you may be having with Safari on the iPad. There is also a Developer tab you can tap that will enable you to turn on the Debug Console, which will automatically pop up to help with Web page errors.
