I have one of those iHome Clock Radios. I bought it a couple of years ago and has served my 80 GB iPod well. I was wondering if I could charge my iPhone on this device at night or if it's a bad idea since it's quite a bit older than the shiny 3G.

I have charged my iPod touch on it with no real problems, but didn't want to risk my 3G.

Thanks!

I bought the iHome specifically designed for the iPhone and it works like a charm! The only problem is that every time I dock it I get the "this accessory is not compatible with iPhone..." You can even choose to wake up to a specific playlist.
