I am going overseas to Europe soon. I would like to know if game applications such as checkers, etc, are counted as data? If I play a checkers game, is that counted as data, will I get charged for playing a game of stupid checkers? :)

Put your phone in airplane mode and you'll be golden. No data can be sent in airplane mode. Games that don't download/upload anything don't use data.

Just restore your iPhone from iTunes and it will download the correct 3.0 firmware for you. Or if you want, you can use this link.

Then go here and click on "Official Torrents" and download the latest redsn0w from there.

I've heard Redsn0w is buggy. Use PWNage Tool instead. Do you have a Mac? When you get to Europe, buy prepaid SIM cards in the countries you visit and you'll save a lot of money compared to calling with your AT&T SIM.
