I noticed some white dots mainly in the upper corners right after I slide my phones power off.
There are quiet a few.

Do you use a screen saver or protector? That's probably not your cause, but I had spots and removed my Otterbox case and wiped everything clean, and the spots were gone.

No screen protector. When I 1st noticed it I thought it may be lint but I cleaned the screen and it was still happening.
It's only for a short time right after I slide off the phone before the wheel thingy shows up.
Is there a thing as slow pixels?

Can you post a screenshot of those spots?

Try applying backgrounds that are different colors. If there are dead pixels you should be able to see them on certain colors. Don't worry about it if it's just minor glitches when you power off. I can see some lines when I close apps occasionally, but they only last for a millisecond and I don't think most people could even detect it. Either way, it's not affecting functionality and you have a 11 months to exchange it, so you could wait and see if a software update fixes it.
