An upcoming iPhone launch would not be complete without rumors of an NFC chip being included in the handset. According to macrumors.com, "Chinese repair firm GeekBar has shared what is said to be a wiring schematic" for an NFC chip in the soon-to-be-launched iPhone 6.

Will this year be the year that that elusive NFC chip finally makes it into an iPhone?

And if it does, is this a feature you really care about? Why or why not?

Sorry, I should have hyperlinked to an article explaining NFC. I have gone ahead and added the link now. If you go back to my original post, click on NFC and you'll get all the skinny on NFC.

    Or simply click here:

UPDATE: Actually, you may want to start here:

What is NFC and how can I use it?

If true, NFC will become more popular and Android fans will claim Apple is copying Android.
