The bezel being separated a bit does not equate to circuit boards being loose. You can just pop the bezel off and the circuit boards do not move. Unless you are just deadset on getting a new phone and spending the money, I would go with a case and call it a day. V2 will be out one day. LOL
EDIT: I see the crack in the screen now. I still would roll with it in a case.
Gah, that really sucks. I always have a feeling I'm going to do something stupid with my phone when I go out for the evening, whether it's an accidental drop or not. I don't think the damage is THAT bad though to warrant getting a refurbished phone. If I were in your shoes I would just hold on to it for a while until word about iPhone 2 is released. I mean, if it works I would just make do and wait for the newer, better phone. Then again, there's no telling when that may be.
