I certainly agree that asking a premium price just for 3G won't be warmly received. If however, they include a larger storage capacity, 32gig, the perhaps it will go. I certainly will not upgrade just for 3G. Also on further reading from Macenstein that the so-called Pro model will be thicker! That's off putting.
Agree that these are just 'rumor of the day' type reports, but the idea that sometime in the not-too-distant future there will be more choice and an iPhone 'Lineup' rather than just one model, makes complete sense I think.
Partly because traditionally nobody succeeds in the cellphone market with just one model, and partly just because it seems obvious that this broadens the appeal ...
I've seen similar rumors posted somewhere else, but I can't remember where right now. I don't think we'll see the nano iPhone version. I just don't see why Apple would go cheap with their phone line yet.
IF they try to release a PRO version that will sell for more money, then they'll have to offer some slight differences in appearance. It only makes sense that they would follow the same strategy that they followed with the macbook and macbook pro.
