iPhone does not read on iTunes

Yes it does not read but
there seems to be a problem with the USB reading it
when a usb is plugged in, there would be a sort of sound indicating that it is connected right?
well,
for my iPhone, the sound doubles!
and it doesn't read!
someone help!

try rebooting pc?
try dif cables?
try rebooting phone?
if u have an Ipod see if iTunes reads it?
maybe try a diff pc if possible to narrow down the problem.

tried all you've said
only thing is that the other pc that i have belongs to my mum and her com doesn't even have windows service pack 2 lol

i think my iPhone is screwed

naa its not screwed. ok try this.

hold both home and power till phone shuts off then while still holding home release power and plug into comp. continue to hold home until conet to intunes image appears on the screen then relase home and let it do its thing.

i got it to connect already.
i had to disable this running program called Digital Still Camera
that program was causing all the problems
it was a lucky try.

How did you disable the DIGITAL STILL CAMERA program, cause I'm having a problem when I connect my iPhone 3g to my windows, windows recognizes "digital still camera" and then reboots. I'm hopping i can disable this progam also.
