Went to the chat option on Apple's website...which by the way was my first time and is pretty cool...and asked some common questions. Nothing new but I did like the last response:laugh2: Here is how it went down...(I had to copy/paste so some areas are a bit weird)

You are chatting with (Secret Person, I feel weird using the name), an Apple Expert

Hi, my name is (I hid the name). Welcome to Apple!
Apple: How may I help you today?
You: Hello
You: Will the iPhone be available to purchase online
You: @ what time?
Apple: June 29 at 6pm.
Apple: PST.
Apple: That would be 9 EST
You: is it available 24 hrs
Apple: Yes, the online store is open 24 hours.
You: Now how will activation work?
Apple: You need to do that through AT&T store.
You: How long will it be till I receive the phone if ordered online
You: I am in Connecticut
Apple: We do not have that information.
You: I leave Monday for ten days...will that matter if the iPhone waits until i return to activate it
You: Do you have overnight shipping
Apple (weird part sorry) :here is overnight shipping, but it would take 24 hours to leave warehouse. Considering it will be late Friday, it probably will not ship until Monday or Tuesday. We cannot be sure yet.
You: ok..how about my second question
You: will it matter if it just sits in a box for a while
Apple: You can activate the phone whenever you want.
You: ok will you be able to meet demand So once I return all I have to do is bring it to AT&T and they will do the activation in the store
You: What about activation costs?
Apple: That will all need to be done through AT&T.
You: Any information on availabilty or limited quantities
Apple: No. We do not anticipate a problem.

i watched a video on iPhone and a Apple rep said "roughly 150 iPhones per store" that would be sweet!

I was playing around with the 1-click option on the website just incase the stores ran out and I saw it on the top left and clicked it and... Voila the rep started talking. It was pretty sweet..maybe Jobs himself!:p

i called a friend of mine that works for Apple in texas. he said the "word" is that most stores (low to mid traffic) will have 100-250. the smallest AT&T stores will have at least 50. large metro area stores will....

....bum-pa-dum




have the most *tada*

IT seems to come up like fade into the screen next to the Apple phone number.

This is what I did. I Incorrectly logged in a number of times. It then asked me to reset my password. On that screen is where the chat popped up.
