If you read the O2 website about the UK version of the iPhone, you can actually buy it online. It does state on their website that you will have to activate the unit via iTunes when you have it delivered to you. Interesting.

You can also get the phone for free, if you sign up to one of the more expensive tariffs.

Interesting to see you still need to activate via iTunes.

Is it interesting? From what I understand, everyone is going to be activating the 3G through iTunes, either in the store or at home. Well, maybe not EVERYONE :D

I'm pretty sure you'll activate by docking the 3G into a computer and entering all the information. By "you" I mean either you or the AT&T/Apple rep.
