My daughters phone screen does not shut off during a call, when she's holding it to her ear, is there a fix for this? Thx in advance.

There is a proximity sensor under the glass near the speaker. Does your daughter have any sort of a case, cover or screen protector on the phone currently that could be blocking the sensor?

No, nothing is blocking it , that area is totally open.

Don't know if it will work, but it won't hurt.... Try doing a hard reset/reboot. Pess both home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. No data will be lost, this is just a complete shut down of the device and restart.
If you have an Apple store nearby, you may want to schedule an appointment with a Genius so they can run diagnostics on it.

Tried the hard reboot, didn't work, so Apple store next. Thanks for the help.

No problem. Be sure that she does a backup / sync before taking it in. If they replace it, would hate to have everything go Poof on ya.

Again, no problem. That's one of the nice things about backing up using iCloud... You can have your phone almost, if not 100% before you leave the store. :D
