sat nav requires hardware that I am fairly certain that the iPhone does not have. However, it might be possible that a bluetooth device could be used to connect to the iPhone and display geographic location. But the iPhone has to be programmed to be able to decipher the incomming data.

cheers for the reply :)
yes the iPhone would need hardware, a GPS bluetooth receiver.
Thats what i'm using with the Palm with TomTom software.
Do you (or anyone else) think that Apple will included satnav with the iPhone anytime soon?
cheers
There has been rumor of gps adapter in the near future. I sold my T|X to help pay for my iPhone, and I have no regrets, although I liked my T|X!

why don't you just wait two more days and you'll know all those specifics. Plus I doubt selling your palm at this moment vs. Tuesday will be that much of a price drop.
