Is it normal that my iPad has a FaceTime icon but not my iPhone?

I have an iPad 2 with AT&T and an iPhone 4S with Verizon. I have the FaceTime option in my phone book on my iPhone.

I'm confused about this too, I don't really know/understand the point of this thread.

I think he is saying he has a FaceTime icon on his iPad but on his phone he does not? If that the case then that is correct. You can access FaceTime on your phone through contacts but there is no app. It is normal to have one on the iPad though. That's just the way they made them.

Have you tried going to Settings and then FaceTime to ensure FaceTime is turned on?
