Is it possible to dismiss Spotlight infobox once and for all?

It appears to be on some kind of timer. It goes away after you click on "Learn More..." but then later it comes back. Will it go away on its own after I've seen it a certain number of times?

I'm only on day two, so it might go away yet :)

Oh ok. For me it stopped after 2 times of seeing it.

The computer is the same way.

That infobox I posted about no longer appears. However, whereas before (see the initial post of this thread) it would just turn translucent and keep the colors during Spotlight Search, now, when I activate Spotlight Search, the background turns ugly... basically like a grayscale, low-resolution version of the original. Is this the normal effect that occurs when one activates Spotlight Search? Am I not able to go back to the original effect that I posted above—translucent and with colors intact?

    At the home screen:

    During Spotlight Search:

PS: I've tried it with Reduce Motion ON and also OFF, same ugly effect either way.

Have you tried a hard reset? Mine looks fine. I'm on 8.0.2. I think it's just an iOS 8 glitch that you're experiencing.

Thank you very much. It's back to normal after a hard reset.

iOS 8.1 can't come soon enough. Yesterday, the letter "a" on the keyboard would not type. Just the "a", no other letter had a problem. It was a scaled app, not optimized for a 5.5" display.
