Is it true that the 4gb was discontinued...

...because of Hardware flaws:eek:
-My friend who has an 8gb iPhone was telling me that our friend Zac has a 4gb iPhone and that the home button doesn't always work, or the silent/vibrate switch and sleep/wake button doesn't always register. He says thats apart of the reason it were discontinued along with the fact that people wanted the bigger GB space.

i haven't heard of the hardware flaw part but i know it was because people wanted more space so Apple didn't think making any more 4gigs was worth it... maybe he just got a defective phone...

I highly doubt it. The hardware differences between the two units are slight.

Nope. Fairly certain its because 4GB is no where near enough memory. People want more and more. Not less and less.
