I've looked throughout the Apple Watch section on their website and cannot find anything related to it being waterproof. It's got a sapphire display, which is great for avoiding scratches, but this thing has to be water resistant at a minimum. If not, how many people are going to jump in the shower with their Apple Watch and fry it.

My guess is that it's not water proof but rather water resistant. Also how much for the Watch edition being 18K gold?

based on the encapsulated processor description, it's clear that they took steps to make it at least water resistant. granted there's more to the watch than the SoC, but it would be a waste to go to such lengths to protect it and not the other components as well.

The watch face for the sport is a more durable glass/metal than just the regular iWatch.

Aren't the faces all the same with sapphire on the 'apple watch'? I thought the bezel/body was the different factor?
