Howdy. Does anyone know if there is a limit on the number of apps you can safely have on your iPhone? I admit I am an Appaholic. I know before the 2.1 software release your iPhone became unstable if you had too many apps installed. With the new release, my iPhone appears to be much more stable. Thank you.

Hello,

I would like to know the same thing.
I currently have 71 non Apple, app store apps on my phone. Every now and then I'll add an app that makes the 3G act buggy so I just remove the latest added app. But I would like to know what limits exist.

16 apps per page and 9 total pages. 16x9=144

OT... Hey Phil are you all sorted out now and have iTunes and Vista communicating nicely these days?

Of course this is academic. If you install that many apps the iPhone will become horrendously unstable. People complain to Apple over the phone about their iPhones crashing and locking up and when they find out the customer has like 6 pages of apps, they say, "well you have too many apps moron. Of course it's going to be unstable." I paraphrased a bit but they do sort of treat you like a moron for, you know, using the device the way they advertise it.

Mine's rock solid, I had 126 apps on it, and Installer and Cydia hanging around from me using quickpwn to activate it. Just one icon left on the last home screen, and everything sang just like the day I first opened the iPhone.

Hey Rob, yes with the release of 2.1 and the updated iTunes things seem to be perfect at the moment. I cannot even believe how fast the backups take now. Thanks for asking.
