iTunes sync problem

I have iTunes version 10.4.1 and am no longer able to sync or backup iPhone, iPad or Nano.
Since i have pre-ordered the new iPhone 4S i need HELP! many thanks!

Have you tried using different USB cables and/or ports on your computer?

thanks for your response. yes on the cables and ports. have tried all i know, which is not much! lol
only started with the new iTunes version.

Have you downloaded the correct version of iTunes i.e you've not downloaded the 64-bit iTunes for a 32-bit machine?
