I have the older installer since I used independence to j/b, and there is an installer update available, but when I try to install it I get the dreaded Main script execution failed message! How can I get the newest version of installer?

If you didn’t update Installer BEFORE updating to 1.1.3, or did but still get this error and need to fix permissions, try entering these commands via ssh:

cd /
cd Applications/
wget http://repository.apptapp.com/packages/System/Installer.zip
rm -rf Installer.app
unzip Installer.zip
chmod +s Installer.app/Installer
chown -R root:wheel Installer.app
rm Installer.zip
This replaces your copy of Installer with the latest version, and sets proper permissions.

Thanks, I'm trying it now.

Any reason you're not using ZiPhone? The Mac client worked great for me the two times I have tried it.

If you feel like your avatar right now, I seriously recommend using the new ZiPhone. Check this, 45 seconds to victory:

I used ziPhone, several times. I eventually to to restore and set up my iPhone as a new phone in iTunes to get the j/b to not cause any problems.
