    Hi all,

My iPhone 6 seems to have developed an intermittent bug where the landscape keyboard doesn't always work in messages.

Tilt the phone upright and all's fine but landscape the keyboard just locks.

Most annoyingly, it only does it about 40% of the time so a trip to see a genius could see me standing there like a doofus with a perfectly good working phone.

Anyone else noticed this and, if so, does anyone have a fix?

Do you have any third party keyboards installed?

Just the emoji one, but that is pre-installed.

Try doing a hard reset. Press the home and power buttons at the same time. Release both buttons when the Apple logo appears.

Yeah, thanks but I've tried that. Also tried resetting network settings.

Often, when it does it, the screen can also go black; the apple logo briefly appears and then the phone immediately goes to lock screen.

Resetting the network settings won't help with this problem.

I would try resetting all settings. Settings > General > Reset All Settings

Thanks for the suggestion. Do I stand to lose anything if I do that?

You have to re-input your settings afterwards as they get set back to default. You'll need to change your wallpaper, ringtones, add your WiFi passwords back in, set up your weather cites, add your alarms and add couple other things of that sort.
