Curious, has anyone been able to get the LED for notifications (Settings \ General \ Accessibility \ LED Flash for Alerts) to work on the iPhone (4S)?

Just turned LED notifications on and tested it on my 4S and got nothing. I know my flash works too. Could be being JB breaks it but I doubt it.

Apparently your flash MUST be set to ON or Auto.

A shame it doesn't work for email, too...

Some you have to turn camera flash off after u turn led on. Reboot phone, check led, then turn camera flash back to auto & all works fine. JB or not. 4 and 4S user.

When you say reboot, what exactly is that. Haven't done it yet to my phone.

hold the power button and home button at the same time, let go after the Apple logo appears.

Tried the above and it worked but only 1 flash. Thank you for that. Any apps available that causes it to blink continuously to show you have a notice without unlocking the phone every few minutes or every time you leave the phone for a little while? Loved that on my Droid.

Mine flashes repeatedly for phone calls, but only maybe 3 small flashes for a text.

Confirmed that but it still only blinks when call is ringing. Looking for something that continues to blink, not, necessarily at the high intensity but so you can tell you have something to checkout.

Doesn't flash for email for whatever reason.. Text, phone call, words with friends, alarm, and some others.

My iPhone 4 never did flash until I updated to 5.1. Now I actually see it on everything.

How often do you want it to flash?
Most people check their phones often enough to not need a battery killer like a flash to remind them.

Thanks for the feedback Rugaby. Sorry, but I just now returned to this thread. My Droid had a low intensity light that blinked every few seconds to alert to a missed call/message. Never had a battery problem. Is there any way to get more than 2 followup alerts on the iPhone?
