Apple has released iOS 7.1 beta 4 to developers a few minutes ago. Let's see what's new.

I've read that there will be six beta releases. Make of that what you will.

That sounds about right. That would put us at a mid-February release. Given the lack of new features in beta 4, perhaps the next two move quickly, pushing the schedule to early February. I hope we can get back the stability we've grown accustomed to with iOS. The Safari crashes are maddening.

Well, beta 3 is much more stable, even jailbroken, than 7.0.4.

    That's encouraging. I'm currently on 7.0.4.

Hopefully, the exploits won't be patched before GM or general release.

I've started a thread in the correct subforum to address beta 4 and jailbreaking.

I wonder if that is product of the beta or being jailbroken? How much more stable is it - Do you still get the Safari crashes and device respring and/or restart issues?

It's the beta. No more Safari crashes or any other stock app crashes.

in beta 3 they changed the color of the shift key for no apparent reason, and it remains in beta 4. seriously confusing. I hope they don't intend to leave it that way.

Anyone else notice that they toned down the neon green on the call bar? I noticed it last week and almost posted it in the balms my hide thread.

    Here's the difference:

It's looking like beta 4 will not be jailbroken.

Guess I need to look into installing 7.1 beta 3. I'm still on 7.0.4 and I want the 7.1 Safari bug crash fix (and the toned-down call bar and Calendars improvements), but I don't want to run stock. Too bad DockShift and BlurredMusic App aren't working on the beta.

You can change the expiration date.
