LimeWire? Isn't that the p2p application that was pretty famous back in the day? I thought they shut down a long time ago.

And ugh.. 75 trillion dollars? LOL

It's still used. I used it a month ago for a file I wanted for free and couldn't find anywhere else.
It's outdated and I'm sure filled with piracy issues out the butt

I used it once, a long time ago, I wanted to download an italian song that couldn't find anywhere, instead the file was a 4 minute long midget porn.
From the article they still get 50 million users per month, so as far as being dead, it's not.

Man I hate Limewire. When I used to manage networks and do IT consulting it was amazing how many idiots ran that on their work PCs on company networks.

Lol! That reminded me of the time I inadvertently downloaded gay porn set on a spaceship. I was like wait, what? No, this isn't right... :D

Yeah, lots of malware and also a bandwidth hog. Some clients would want to allow their users to run crap like this and other similar stuff and also gripe about how their network wasn't always speedy. Loads of fun to deal with.

Same here. And I often get asked by family and friends to rescue an infected PC. If Limewire is on it, I will help them--once. Then I tell them if they, their kids, or anyone else puts that crap back on I will not help again.

It took me couple minutes to figure out that I downloaded the wrong thing.
I Got me some scotch and a cigar and watched the all thing, twice.

Yup, I have pretty much the same approach. Otherwise the amount of wasted time gets well north of crazy.

I'm confused. Benny, why does your clickable link say million but the actual article says trillion? It's hard to believe the RIAA would be that stupid. I think that's more money than exists in the world.

That sounds like about what they'd aim for then.
Lol! It makes me think of Dr. Evil. We want all the money in the world! I know they only expect to get a fraction of it, but the amount is still comical.
