How do they work? I have one set to lock screen and another as wallpaper to test it out and neither are doing anything. They look like stills

Gently press the screen to get your live wallpaper to work. The softer you press the slower the picture moves the harder you press the faster the picture moves in my experience. Live wallpaper on the home screen does not work.

Do anyone know if the live wallpaper only work on the lock screen? That's the only place I can get it to work. It don't work on my homescreen

They don't work on the Homescreen. Pressing on the Homescreen (to make a Live Wallpaper work) would probably activate 3D Touch on an icon.

Just a little eye candy, I suppose. I don't see a real purpose for them either. Its the cool factor.

Live wallpapers use more battery power than static images. Just to note.

Been using Live Wallpaper since I got the phone, and battery is still awesome. I don't think it uses more power unless you play with the Live feature a lot.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the volume work on the live picture I set to the lock screen?
