Hopefully not many people need to use FirstClass's sub-par services, but for those that do (educators) I found a long way to get your main calendar on the iPhone. Where I work there is a school calendar and a personal calendar so I will give the directions I used to sync my school calendar.
Drag the school calendar onto the personal calendar.
Edit/Export the calendar as a CSV file.
Email CSV file to somewhere you can access Outlook
(may work as an iCal file if using iCalendar)
Open and save email attachment. If prompted that part of it is not
compatible hit yes to save in a compatible format.
Export the saved file into Outlook calendar and sync via iTunes

If you can find a quicker and easier way PLEEEAAASSSEEEE let me know. Hope this helps someone.

Get your FirstClass admin to install FirstClass Sync Services and use the native ActiveSync client in the iPhone. Simple, fast, and works great.
