Enough with people trying to sell us all this overpriced software just to do simple things on this phone!
There is free software available for download. It's called sony image converter 2. Just do a Google search for it.
If you already have a video on your pc just drag and drop it into image converter and boom, perfect mp4 that will play in your iPhone.
If you have a dvd, you will need to rip it to your pc then put that file into image converter.

Sorry about that. I got caught up before I figured out that the software was free. Just tired of all the leeches coming to this message board lately trying to take advantage of those of us who are not as tech savvy.

yes, I used DVD Decrypter then tried Videora but it didn't work at the end saying couldn't add to my iTunes library.

I then used Super and that worked well. Made a 4GB DVD file into a 1GB mp4 and is now playing on my iPhone.

I use the FREE Videora application. Don't worry if it doesn't add it to the ITUNE library. Just manually add it to your video section and then you can import it to your phone. You must change the extension of the file that Videora makes it to .M4V

Videora screwed up my iTunes library file and locked it.

I had to delete it and start my library over.

I'm using Vista, so maybe that is why.

I have now started to use DVD Decrypter and then Super converter and they work well and are free.

Problems

I am not quite as tech savvy as some of you guys, see if you can help me with my problem. I used the DVD decrypter and Super. I managed to get everything converted to mp4. It however, converted the movie file into about 7 short clips of about 21 minutes a piece. How do I make it just be the main movie?

one of those guys

yeah I bought Imtoo DVD to iPhone converter. I know I know I paid $35 bucks for the sw...I tried handbrake out and it was so slow (18 hrs for 1 dvd)

Imtoo takes around 2 1/2 with my 1ghz PB G4 for a full dvd. Oh well
