Has this happened to anyone/know what to do to fix it? Randomly the following sounds don't work on my phone: New Voicemail, New Text Message, New Mail, Sent Mail, Calendar Alerts, Lock Sounds, and Keyboard Clicks. NO my phone is not on silent. The sounds aren't played when I get an alert like a text message, and they also don't play when I go into Settings --> Sounds and hit them from on to off to on. But in the Sounds menu if I choose a ring tone I can hear that and if I change the volume level (which is all the way up) it plays the ring tone. I tried to turn the phone off and on and still had the problem, did a hard restart and I still have the problem, then I finally restored it and I'm still having that problem.

Can anyone help me?

Sorry for the double post, but if you suggest that I take it into the Apple Store to have them look at it would you suggest me taking off my Best Skin Ever (the full body cover) before taking it in?

uuummm...if you did an hard reset then that shoulda fixed your issue... DOUBLE check that you don't have the vibrate button showing the red line, as that is telling the phone to cut sounds out and vibrate only.

Got off the phone with Apple a while ago, if anyone else seems to have this problem heres the fix:

For some reason when you use headphones (or car adapters or anything of that sort) on the iPhone that are NOT the stock ones that came with the phone, the iPhone sometimes doesn't recognize that you've taken them out and will not play your sounds until you plug in the stock headphones, restart, take them out.

The guy on the phone said they're working to figure out why the phones doing that and it should be in one of the next updates.

hummm

I thought for sure we used to be able to play sounds and change the default notification sounds... and now since the update that no longer functions.

I have not put anything in that hole that was not authorized by Apple.
