Think odds and probability. There have been some fake apps in the Apple App Store, some of which are tethering apps posing as flashlights, but iOS is still considered to be far more secure. Android has had a lot of malicious apps in the Android Market that harvest personal data and such, whereas I've never heard of this happening on iOS. They make antivirus programs for Android to protect the user. iOS doesn't have any since it is currently unnecessary.
