What the hell is this?:

Its in Settings>General>Profiles

And it claims its the "Provisioning" profile. When I go to remove it I get this warning:

I've never seen this before in my settings and I don't want to delete it if it should be there. Has anyone else seen this or know what it is?

I Wonder if it's to allow an Apple Tech to remote your phone... PURE speculation on my part.

Not for nothing, I don't have a Settings>General>Profiles choice!

I looked through the manual and didn't see anything about it. Of the people that already updated, do you have this too? Very curious...

I think I figured it out. It has to do with App creation, using the device for both development and as a phone. The provisioning file is needed for the approval process to run your app on your phone.
I googled it, and then spent about 10 minutes looking around. The Following thread is the best answer I can find.

I have a few of these on my iPhone. They're issued by developers to allow you to install beta versions of apps before they are available on the Appstore.

They are normally removed when the app is removed from the iPhone. Maybe this one got left behind.

thanks guys! I beta tested an app, but did delete the app since the upgrade to 2.2. I guess the provisioning profile got left behind. I'm not too worried about it any more. Thanks again!
