I'm not sure if anyone else has taken any notice of this but when you switch to Classic view in the Mail app, the message contents appears on the bottom. I would much prefer to have it on the right. I wasn't able to track down any setting to change this. Any idea on how to change this behavior? Oh, and if you are not using Classic view, it's great when you have a lot of email as it gives you more space on the screen for messages and you can see more.

I use Thunderbird, but I just checked the Mail app on my Mac and I don't see a way to adjust the layout in that view. Thunderbird allows you to have your messages on the right if you're interested in switching apps.

I used Thunderbird for the longest time on Windows. I'll have to check out the Mac version.

Mac. Did I post in the wrong forum? I'm curious as to why the question.
You posted in the correct sub-forum. He just didn't check that and wasn't sure since you didn't mention it in your post.

Because often I don't think to look at where something is posted. When using an app like TapaTalk, one has to scroll to the top to see where it's posted. I view posts on the "unread" section, which is a culmination of posts from different locations. And I just don't think to scroll up to the top to see what section the post is in. It's different from viewing the site online.
