I used Publisher for a couple years now and got really familiar with the program. Is there anything like it for Mac? I'm actually thinking of learning Adobe Photoshop CS6. It's a bit steep to pay for the retail version though. Pages doesn't really cut it for graphic design and if anyone has any experience with these applications, do I really need CS6 or should I go with one of the earlier versions like CS4 or CS5? I'm guessing that CS2 and CS3 would be going too far back.

InDesign, Quark of Office for Mac.

I'm still using CS4. Have you compared the features to see if you need anything the newer versions have?

Not yet. I haven't used Photoshop since CS2. So I'm pretty sure that CS4 would be more than enough.

I installed Photoshop CS4 and the text appears pixelated for any of the fonts that I select. I think it has to do with anti aliasing but when the layer is selected with the text and I change to anti alias smooth or sharp, it's still pixelated.
