Today I noticed that Navigon has released a true turn-by-turn navigation app for the iPhone, available in the App Store.

Does anyone have experience with Navigon? How do they compare to TomTom?

So far I have only used TomTom devices, and was/am planning on buying the TomTom app and car kit once they become available, but I am open to recommendations.

Thank you.

AFAIK Navigon and Tom Tom use the same maps (Naviteq) so the physical maps themselves are the same. As for the turn by turn, I've heard good things about both of them from their stand alone units. Navigon is a newer company to the market than Tom Tom IIRC.

I like Navigon batter. Much easier to read while driving.....the display is almost as if you were in the car (arrow) instead of hovering over the car (arrow) which makes turns easier imo.

also if your on a parkway.....it'll actually display what lane you should be in.....atleast all of these features were on my friends navigon standalone unit so....should be the same.
