The second "Premium Rush" started, with the beginning of "Baba O'Riley" playing as a bike rider flew through the air, sans bike, in slow motion, and landed in the middle of a street, I knew I was in for a treat. I'm a sucker for car chases and the accompanying wrecks, but I had never seen a movie that revolved around bicycle-versus-automobile scenarios… and wrecks. Couple that with tech-savvy, adrenaline-junkie riders who routinely engage in sick (read: awesome) stunts, and you have a vehicular-action movie lover's dream.

If you're in the market for 90-minute, action-packed flick and don't require a finely-woven, multilayered plot, then do watch this flick.

Reasonably priced was when it was $99.99. Even 129.99 a few weeks ago was fairly reasonable. But $160?!
That's $7.27 per movie on a physical medium. Not just any physical medium, but Blu-ray. iTunes wants to charge you $14.99 for "Skyfall" alone. And say what you will, but you're never gonna get the quality from iTunes' "1080p" on their 5.89GB file as you'll get from the 50GB dual-layer Blu-ray disc (I don't know how many gigs of that 50GB capacity they used for the actual 1080p movie, but if I find out, I'll update my post.)

I wouldn't buy a movie from iTunes. I still much prefer physical discs to streaming media. Btw, the Skyfall BD is just over 48GB. With 37GB for the film itself.

I bow humbly before you. You've driven my point home, and then some.

And BTW... if I were asked to mention the number one thing I'll never forgive Apple for, is for failing to include Blu-ray drives on their machines. I understand it's a conflict of interest with their iTunes businesss, but, the truth be told, they should've given the end user a choice.

Yes, I do see passes for it are still available. I was almost going see it last night. But found out the one tomorrow is the Q&A with the director.

It's playing at AMC Town Square at 8pm btw.

How many do you need?
Just got your email. Thank you so much! I'm pretty excited to see it. :) I'll probably try to get there about three hours early. Do you think that's enough time?

No problem. That should be plenty of time. They seem to be doing pretty late showings of this. I noticed the screening here tomorrow night is at 9pm. Instead of the usual 7pm start time for most all screenings.

I went to an Evil Dead screening last night and really enjoyed it. It's one of the better horror movie remakes, up there with Texas Chainsaw 2003 and The Hills Have Eyes. It was intense, brutal, had great cinematography and really creepy music and audio effects. They changed and added quite bit to the story, but they held onto everything that made the original great. It was a pretty fun experience to see it with a group of die-hard, hyped-up Evil Dead fans who were willing to wait in a really long line and have their phones bagged, tagged and kept outside the theater (because of the cameras).

Just watched ...And Justice for All as an assignment for one of the political science classes I am taking, and I sure am glad the professor asked us to watch it since not only do I love Al Pacino but it is an amazing movie.
