I am purchasing a Windows PC running Windows 7 Pro with a 2 TB hard drive and a 128 SSD. My wife currently has an iTunes library that is over 600 GB. Can I install iTunes straight to the 2 TB hard drive or will the SSD probably be labeled as Drive C? I wish to have all of iTunes on the 2 TB portion of this PC.

That should be no problem. I have iTunes installed on an external drive on my PC. It doesn't have to be installed on your boot drive. There will be an iTunes folder under your user account on the boot drive, but the main collection of music, etc., will be on your larger drive.

Great so when I download/install iTunes I'll be able to point where I want to install it?

Yes, like other programs ( edit from the gibberish I posted before) you'll install, just make sure you point the installation to the correct drive you want to use.

Sure. It should be no problem.

    Step 6 is important.

Thanks sir for the step by step guide for the install.

One last (hopefully) question. After iTunes installs what is the best method to move her iTunes library from her portable hard drive to her new PC?

Do I hook up the portable and copy/paste the iTunes media folder or is there an iTunes Library import library function? Just remember it is over 600GB and since this is a Windows 7 machine I purchased it does not have USB 3 so this will take a while!

Sorry for the links, but I suck at explaining these sorts of things.

Are you kidding... Links are perfect! O_o

Probably me but I was having some sort of file conflict so I just uninstalled iTunes and am coping the library first and then will install iTunes.
