No. The file format is M4A, an ACC encoding from Apple.
However, you can right-click the song in iTunes and you should have the option to create an MP3 version

I believe the bitrate of tracks in the iTunes store are 256kbps, so there wouldn't be much point in converting it to a higher-bitrate mp3.
