My iPhone has become a brick

Hi All Brought an iPhone from the US, put my Telstra sim in and worked like a dream, i did read not to upgrade the firmware so ididnt. When iPhone got released into Australia, i thought ok should be ok to upgrade now. What a DH i am now the phone i useless, can anyone help me get back to its original state as the wife is pissed with me

Use iTunes and restore as a new phone. Do not restore from a backup, restore as a new phone.

locate and download the pwntool for your system, PC or Mac, and run it. be sure to select activate phone option. if you follow the instructions correctly, you should be up and running.

Hey, I run a blog on iPhone and 2 of my posts have found the solution for this very problem. All do not seem to be for the 3G. what if you have a 3G phone|?
