Last night on my way home from work, I got this message from Att. I did have the custome ipcc file already, but still was not able to send MMS. Until last night when I got this message. Now I can send MMS.

Cool. I'm in Jacksonville. I have not got this yet. I wonder if it's cause my mms already works? It would be nice just to get one though. :)

After rebooting my phone this morning, I received two mms that were sent to me a couple of days ago. Has been working fine ever since.

Also in FL.

i just read an article talking about how it's just a carrier update for this you can do through iTunes... maybe the people getting these test mms messages from AT&T can extract the ipcc files and share em? is that how it works? i guess this would be for those who cant wait until sept 25th. hah, but hey, there is multiple ippcs floating around, why not get the official one. :)

I'm surprised i'm the first to do this.. buuuuttt.....

I'm going to have to call BS.

I've never gotten a single text from a 7 digit number. All local numbers I get are 1(518)and then the number.Text from things like facebook are (326)651-29.

Mint.com texts me with financial info and it's always something like 696-468

When I get a text from AIM, it's 265-060.

I have never gotten a text that was simply 7 digits like his screenshot.

Sorry

You would be wrong. When I was on the 3.0 beta on my 3G I had mms for the entire beta period. When I got my 3GS I lost mms immediately (actually after adding the ipcc file it worked for a couple of ours, then I lost it). I tried just about everything to get it back...to include calling AT&T and telling them I was not able to use mms on my blackjack when I put my sim in it. They changed the imei on the account and sent me a test mms while the sim was in my blackjack. I never deleted the message from the blackjack. I don't want to go through the PITA to take off my capsule neo to put my sim in the blackjack and download the message, it's probably deleted off the servers after this amount of time anyway, but I took a couple of pics.

I've had an iPhone for over a year and I've had about 5 mms sent my way. I could care less about the MMS. I care more about AT&T just delivering and Apple SHOULD be working on new technology and not spending 2 years on mms.

I doubt that Apple spent much time on MMS, or the 3GS would never have been released.
