This handy dandy accessory measures temperature using your iDevice's headphone jack and is currently a Kickstarter project. You'll get the device with a $25 pledge. The base goal has been met and they have the factory floor.

I wonder what other forms of physical data could be measured by sensors on accessories, converted to an audio signal, and then fed to an iDevice for analysis via the headphone jack...

Breathalyzer - Check your BAL before getting behind the wheel...
Relative humidity sensor - Will my hair get frizzy if I walk into this room?

Geiger counter - Perfect for clean-up workers at nuclear plant accident sites

I don't know when I'd possibly need jack-plug thermometer, but I'm going to buy one because I'm a geek.

    Exterior use only ;)
Wanna bet there is a warning to that effect somewhere on the packaging.
