Need serious help please

So I plugged my iPhone 3g in to sync some new song it was unlocked and jailbroken, then iTunes told me to update to 3.0.1 so I was like sure what the hell when everything was said and done the phone says I have an invalid SIM because I have T-Mobile so do I have to unlock my phone again all I can do is make emergency calls what do I do

Updating will remove the jailbreak and lock it. Each time a FW update is released, and you want that update (they are optional), you'll have to rejailbreak and unlock again. It's best to restore to factory settings each time, restoring from back up will leave traces of the jailbreak and has the potential for causing problems.

Use redsn0w to jailbreak and then ultrasn0w to unlock. Be sure to use the 3.0 IPSW with redsn0w (it will not downgrade you to 3.0 - you'll stay on 3.0.1).
