I bought an iPhone off ebay and am having issues with it, so the seller is exchanging my iPhone. My question is the apps that I have on my iPhone, how do I get those apps to my new iPhone?

Backup your iPhone before you exchange it-then when you get your new phone -restore your apps from the backup.

Just to be sure, right click the iPhone in iTunes, and click transfer purchases.

This got me thinking, iTunes downloaded songs are available for use on 5 authorized computers, are apps the same?

That's a good question. I think more probably if you go to each new library and transfer your purchases off the iPhone? Interested to find out

What's the difference between backing up the iPhone and click transfer purchases? Aren't they the same thing?

I haven't heard of apps being limited to a certain amount of computers. I would think not since music is no longer DRM and apps are already tied to the account.

I heard they were going to do that but didn't realize it already happened. So, no music is DRM anymore? Why aren't all the songs .99 cents then?
