I have a Powerbook G4 and an 8g iPhone. I installed Appsnapp Installer and have a few questions.
1. I installed NES and have tried to play, but it is telling me I have no ROMs. I am not very computer savvy so I don't know what this means. Please don't make fun. How do I fix this problem?
2. I noticed when I pressed the sources icon on the bottom right of the screen it says AppTapp Official (and in small print) Firmware 1.1.1 recommended. I was under the impression that Appsnapp Installer and Apptapp are two different programs that do the same thing. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks,
TR

this has nothing to do with it .. there are people that are on here using 1.0.2 and they can use NES fine, you have to put the roms [which u have to download yourself] and get them to your phone... do a search here and you can find more info as to what folder they belong in so that the iPhone will read them and you can play them....

goood luck to you

if you are useing 1.0.2 then i suggest to uninstall nes and go download ibrickr at www.ibirckr.com and then install it useing that then you can just use ibrickr to uload roms to the correct path with one click... if you have 1.1.1 you can still use ibrickr but you must replace the services.plist with a moded one using WinSCP... and i made a quick how to on fixing that... address below

but if you have 1.0.2 then you don't need to do that...

hope that helps

If you have the Installer working, do this for instant access:

You will be adding another Installer Source.
They are not official and may cause problems on your iPhone.
And oh yes, make sure you own these NES games....

  • Tap on Installer
  • Locate and tap "Sources" (bottom right corner)
  • Tap on "Edit" (top right)
  • Tap on "Add" (top left)
  • Enter (type) this: lyndellwiggins.com/Swell.xml
note: the xml must be in small caps
Your phone will refresh - do not exit the Installer

  • Select "Install" (bottom left, next to "Featured")
  • Scroll down to NES ROMs and install "Classic NES ROMs"

Enjoy!
