So over on HoFo, they are reporting that the Apple store has new software that helps detect issues with the iPhone so they don't blindly replace phones based on complaints of battery issues and dropped call issues...it can apparently analyze past a restore....do you think there is a way they will see evidence of prior jailbreaks and deny repairs?

I think that it would be quite easy for them to take a phone, connect it to a dock and have a computer setup to scan for root and media changes within the system. A scan should take all of 3 minutes or so, since all it would be doing is looking for application folders or files that don't have a specific Apple file or identifier from the post SDK process.

Probably.

But my warranty is beyond gone now, so it doesn't really effect me.

Granted, every knew this voided their warranty when they did it, right? /smirk
