I'm not even considering doing this, but just for future reference....is the new macbook with leopard 10.5.6 capable of RESTORING a jailbroken iPhone?

I know it is not capable of JAILBREAKING an iPhone.

EDIT: for clarification.....i HAVE used the search tool in the forum for this question, but i found many different answers. THANKS!

Yes you can restore. I think they are working on a fix for the DFU mode issue. That was not intentional and was a mess up within the firmware. It should be solved with a future update.
