I have been using Pulse for a while. What other top rated news app is there?

I like Pulse the best. I have 3 categories. News, Sports and Tech., with about 6 sites per category. You might try News360.

Zite works well for me. Flipboard is also one of my favorites

It's a great app concept. I just don't care for my social stuff blending with my news. I like how I have my News set up on Pulse.
I don't have any of my social stuff in FlipBoard, just the news and other RSS feeds that I want. I guess I just ignored all those options. I liked Pulse too.

Sounds like the vote is to keep Pulse?

Try those mentioned on this thread and decide for yourself. Use all at the same time, then delete the less liked as you go along.
I don't like Zite, Feedly or Flipboard so far. I may have to check out cnet or lifehacker's recommended apps.

Yes I just wish there was a google news app. I tried that one a while back and it's laggy.....horrible. For right now I just added google news and it's website on my home screen.
I would just bookmark the website. But many like to create an icon on the home screen as you did. A lot of people are dependent on apps for forums and websites, but we can always just use mobile Safari. Most sites have good mobile templates.

I tried out Google News and used it for awhile because it was the only app that would give local news. After checking out others, I downloaded Rueters as suggested on the top apps by CNET. It is nice looking and works well. I can't see the local news though. It would be great if more apps would support local news. I may check out Pulse again.

I use Pulse. But for local news, I use one of the local stations news app. I also have the local paper's site bookmarked.

I'll have to check if one of the local stations has a news app. If not, bookmarking the local paper is not a bad idea.
