According to a memo at Rogers in Canada, the wireless carrier is shipping an 8GB version of the iPhone 3GS to stores. The iPhone 3GS would presumably take over the low-cost 8GB iPhone 3G, which is now at apparently at low inventory levels.

They should have done this from the start. They will get more custom doing this, main thing is, it'll bring the cost down to allow the customers to get a cheaper, yet decent phone.
