Is there anyway to get rid of the newsstand app or hide it in a folder? I don't like, don't want it.

    Thanks

This wasn't easy and not sure if it still works.

How to hide the Newsstand icon in iOS 5

Pretty sure the iOS 5.1 update made it where that method no longer works.

I don't hate Newsstand like I know a lot of users do, but I would rather manage my own news folders. The automatic issue downloads in the background might make it worthwhile if they ever flippin' worked.

Read recently that Newsstand has upped subscriptions / revenues for publishers though - so I bet we're stuck with it.

Oh yeah, and my other thought on it has always been that if we have to have it, why not make it a section of iBooks.
